Yosemite 2

El Capitan

The Yosemite Valley

We woke early and got out of Curry Village. In daylight, we soon forgot about how busy it was and started enjoying the staggering valley. Our plan was to explore the valley and figure out some good hikes to go on that would get us up and away from the tour buses. We settled on a couple short ones for this day, to be followed by an early start and a long one the following day. As we have learnt everywhere in the US, if you are willing to walk, you can enjoy even the busiest of places. Our first walk was to the edge of the valley and were rewarded with spectacular views.

Ditto, Shela top left.

Unfortunately, this hike was to be out last, as Shela was unlucky and twisted her ankle. With the use of a walking stick, we made it back the car, but that would be the end of our hiking for the trip.
